Deserts

Deserts are the driest and barest places on earth. They are located in Africa, Australia, Asia, and South America.
Because there is so little water, deserts appear to be dual landscapes, but they harbor animals and plants that are specially adapted to the dry conditions. some deserts are endless " seas of sands". Other have lots of rocks, stones, hills and mountains.
Deserts are among the few remaining wild places the world. It has become more and more important for us to understand how deserts function and to preserve the genetic material that exists in them.
